From Part-Timer to Leadership Role

What drew you to Elitez, and what was it like when you first joined the team?

Sharon: Back then, I was working as a part timer under Elitez and I was very close to one of the leaders back then. They happen to open up a new BD team, hence they invited me and asked if I want to join. So here am I.

Key Milestones and Achievements in Sharon’s Career

What are your milestones along the way?

2018 – Started working in Elitez as a Business Development Executive (BDE) in 2018, managed to bring in client and hit Tier 1 on my second month. Won the “Best Newcomer” Award and started building my own team.

2020-2021 – During 2020-2021, it was the Covid Period and we were going through a tough time but I managed to pull through with the support of my team members.

2022 – I became one of the youngest Business Unit Leader in 2022 and my team grew to 9 pax.

2024 – This year I was awarded as one of the “Inspiring Billing Leaders”

Sharon’s Leadership Philosophy and Team Dynamics

What have been the most significant achievements for you since joining Elitez?

Sharon: Managing a team of 8 pax when I was in my twenties, buying my first ever car when I was 26. Grooming my team members to be as aspiring and now they are better than who I was last time when i was in their position.

How has your team played a role in your growth journey?

Sharon: Without them, I won’t be who I am today. Thanks to their effort, their steadiness in the job. That’s how we got who we are right now.

What influenced your leadership style and your approach to managing a team?

Sharon: So Derrick is someone I look up to and when I am facing any difficulties right, he will give me his 100% support and guidance on it. So I’ll do the same to the team and when the team is facing any difficulties, I’ll make sure that I am there for them. So back then, when the team is still small and resources were limited, I had to step up and deploy myself when I couldn’t fulfill any last minute drop outs and I am very thankful that the team right, they are also able to do the same as me. They are as STEADY as me. So yeah, I am very thankful to have my team with me, without them I won’t be who I am today.

Sharon: Never Give Up. There’s a lot of situations where you feel like walking away but always remember that good things are worth the wait.
